About The Author
Born in 1950 and brought up in Calcutta, once the Capital of British India, now that of truncated Bengal in post-independence India. In the course of his profession as a rural banker for forty years, he had the unique opportunity of living in tribal villages of Chhattisgarh, the hinterland of Central India. Now staying in Calcutta and engaged in reading and writing. He writes only in Bengali and translates from English and Hindi. His concern is the helplessness of an individual in the face of the might of the state. Since 2015, some sixteen publications, both fiction and non-fiction, go to his credit.
